Input and Output
- Input: Detects ambient light levels in the environment.
- Output: Provides an analog voltage output that varies with light intensity. Higher light levels result in a higher voltage.
Physical Characteristics
- Dimensions: Compact module, typically around 15 mm x 15 mm.
- Material: Plastic housing with an integrated light sensor.
- Weight: Lightweight and easily mountable.
Technical Specifications
- Output Range: Analog voltage output, typically from 0V to 5V, depending on light intensity.
- Response Time: Quick response to changes in light levels.
Additional Features
- No Calibration Required: Provides direct light measurements without the need for calibration.
- Wide Detection Angle: Designed to detect light from various angles for accurate readings.
How to Use
- Connect the Sensor: Wire the VCC pin to a 3.3V or 5V power source, GND to the ground, and the OUT pin to an analog input on your microcontroller.
- Power On: Supply power to the sensor.
- Measure Light: The sensor will detect ambient light and provide an analog voltage output.
- Read Output: Use the analog input on your microcontroller to read the voltage from the OUT pin. The voltage level will correspond to the amount of ambient light.
- Process Data: Convert the analog voltage to light intensity using your microcontroller’s software. This data can be used to control lighting or monitor light levels.
The TEMT6000 Ambient Light Sensor Module is ideal for projects requiring light detection and is easy to integrate into various electronic applications.
