Input and Output
- Input: Detects flame or fire based on the infrared light reflected from the flame.
- Output:
- Digital Output: Provides a high or low signal indicating the presence of a flame.
- Analog Output: Provides a voltage signal proportional to the intensity of the flame (if available).
Physical Characteristics
- Dimensions: Compact, usually around 4 cm x 4 cm.
- Material: Plastic casing with an infrared sensor.
- Weight: Lightweight and easy to mount.
Technical Specifications
- Detection Range: Can detect flames from a few centimeters up to a meter, depending on the model and conditions.
- Output Range: Digital output provides a binary signal (high/low), while analog output varies with flame intensity.
Additional Features
- Adjustable Sensitivity: Some models include a potentiometer to adjust the sensitivity to different flame sizes.
- LED Indicator: Often includes an onboard LED that lights up when a flame is detected.
How to Use
- Connect the Sensor: Attach the VCC pin to 5V, GND to ground, and connect the DO pin to a digital input or AO pin to an analog input on your microcontroller.
- Power On: Provide power to the sensor.
- Position the Sensor: Place the sensor where you want to detect flames. The sensor should be in a location where it can clearly see the flame.
- Read the Data:
- Digital Mode: Check the digital output signal. It will be high when no flame is detected and low when a flame is present.
- Analog Mode: Monitor the analog voltage. The voltage will increase with the intensity of the flame.
- Respond to Detection: Use the sensor’s output to trigger alarms, turn off devices, or send notifications in case of a detected flame.
This Flame Sensor Module provides a reliable method for detecting flames and can be easily integrated into various safety and monitoring systems.
